Hmm, I might be the wrong person to ask then, because I am a rare case that didn’t like Stardew. I tried two times already and I consider a 3rd because of the internet pressure, but wasn’t hooked on so far.
Meanwhile, I usually enjoy 牧場物語 entries…
So which farming games do you consider lower quality and which do you consider well done?
As for Rune Factory 5 itself, I think it’s nice. Very similar to the 4th entry, although I played 4th a long time ago, so I might forgot some details already. Dungeons are a little too simplistic, sometimes it’s basically a straight line. Characters are fine. Plot is straightforward, but it makes for a nice excuse to do all this fighting and plowing, and the gameplay itself is very fun and addictive. I’m close to 100 hours already, so…
Oh, but the fps drops are awful. There are actually two modes, one with “dynamic graphics”, where the graphics gets uglier when the Switch can’t keep up with the “action” (where the said action is sometimes just walking around). (And I use the pretty one
)
In other news, I finished 4th HameFura! I mentioned it already in the extensive thread, but it worryingly started to really slow down. There is some one bigger event which gets solved within a volume and all the relationships are nearly frozen in the status quo.
(there are some changes, but it doesn’t really change anything in the end)
But I already bought all the volumes published on the sale and I’m not stopping. And it’s my iyashikei anyway.
