Read a bit of Kusuriya in the morning and Nausicaä in the evening. For some reason volume 1 starts on page 9 
At least in the “wide edition” it does.
Long time no read physical books! Had to use jisho on laptop instead of takoboto on phone because it’s easier to type and even had to look up kanji by radicals at times. That’s not something I do often when I can just grab text and paste into takoboto. …I’ve not been reading manga much lately, now that I think about it 
Kinda forgot that even for digital version I need jisho for looking up words, lol 
The difficulty wasn’t too bad. There were some archaic phrasings and old man-speech and made-up words, but other than that the thing I struggled most with was figuring out where one hiragana word ended and where the next hiragana word started, heh. The speech bubbles were not consistent with whether words would start on a new line or cross over to the next line, mostly due to lay-out technicalities (but I guess that goes for any manga, amirite). Last thing I want to say: Nausicaä is such a cool protag uwu.
