A short chapter. A comrade?

I also read a little of “文学少女” 見習い from 読み放題.

- かがみの孤城 (下) 23% =\> 32% (latter 2/3 of February, along with audio)

Wrong and worrisome guess, but misunderstanding prevented anyway.

4 hours 50 minutes / 1.2x left = a little more than 4 hours.

> **Interesting words**
>
> - サミット = summit
> - エナメル = encrusting, covering
> - 不服(ふふく) = discontent. The meaning of 服 is body, so not fitting with my body.
> - 険(けわ)しい = angry (face). Some other meanings include dangerous, rough and slopy.
> - おざなり = apathetic. Kanji form is お座成(ざな)り.
> - 淡々(たんたん)と = calmly
> - 唐突(とうとつ) = abrupt. Like Chinese Tang King’s version.
> - はぐらかす = to evade. Related is 逸(はぐ)れる.
> - 選(よ)り分(わ)ける = to pick out
> - 肩透(かたす)かし = neatly dodging
> - 大人(おとな)びる = to look like grown up
> - ぶっきらぼう = bluntly. ぶっきら棒(ぼう), so hit and cut out a stick (打っ切った棒の意).
> - 抜(ぬ)け駆(が)け = getting a head start. Also with Rendaku.
> - 問題児(もんだいじ) = problem child. Also reminds me of 異端児(いたんじ).
> - 図解(ずかい) = illustrating / illustration
> - 淘汰(とうた) = weeding out
> - 存続(そんぞく) = survival
> - 騒々(そうぞう)しい = noisy
> - そらんじる = to memorize. Kanji from is 諳(そら)んじる. Also 諳(そら)んずる.

> - ばちばち = sparkling (also of eyes)

> Phrases

> - 枝分(えだわ)かれ = branching out
> - 取(と)り付(つ)く島(しま)がない = left utterly helpless (e.g. by a curt reply or refusal)
