After an enormous hiatus I decided to reset my account. I figured going over the basics again would help enforce a solid foundation as I built back my vocabulary, and even if most of the start was trivially easy, I’d be be able to chew through them in a day or two and start introducing the stuff I genuinely did need to review.
I’ve already turned up my maximum lessons per day to the limit of 100, but something I didn’t factor in was the wait period between reviews necessary to unlock new lessons. Is there a way to reduce the wait time between reviews so I can unlock new lessons as quickly as possible? I still think the full reset was the correct way to go for me, but I do want to chew through these early lessons as quickly as possible.

It might have been better to reset to a higher level but it’s done now, so don’t worry about it.
Also don’t worry about WK’s SRS system being slow at the start - once you have built up hundreds of items over different stages, there are more than enough reviews. The best advice is to do other Japanese learning, especially reading: speed running is prone to burnout. If you bought ‘lifetime’, pace yourself for several years of WK; otherwise target about Lv30 and decide if continuing further is worth the cost.
it can be a bit frustrating but it’s over before you know it. use the chill time to practice in other ways, until your WK starts ramping up.
for example, i like to do listening practice because i feel like it doesn’t conflict with my WK directly and won’t mess up my SRS timings. it’s more critical in early levels since N5 (for example) has so few kanji and vocab to begin with.
later on – once you accumulate thousands of vocan and hundreds of kanji, it becomes less critical if you also read stuff simultaneously.
That is true, that in the long term a couple of extra weeks isn’t going to really matter.
Reminder that you only need radicals and kanji to level, putting back any vocab you know well is kinda a waste of time and once something is in the pipes there is not going back… you have to burn it…
There is also an option in tsurukame to exclude any vocabulary item, I have never tried it though.
