Question about scripts

I think typing answers is a big waste of time, does anybody know scripts that removes that, in favour of choosing “know” or “don’t know”

If you use this script: [Userscript]: Double-Check (Version 2.x)

It offers exactly that. A button you can click to mark answers wrong or right. But, I don’t use it to make answers wrong because it is faster to just type a random hiragana and then click f to open the item info, and then enter to continue. Your hands stay on the keyboard the whole time that way instead of needing to click the mark incorrect button, then click show item, and then click the enter box so the enter key works again.

As for marking things correct instead of typing, I think this is a very bad idea. Sometimes you think you know a reading or meaning but you’re actually mistaken. So this would result in marking things correctly that shouldn’t be. Typing the answers helps lock in recognition too.

I do reviews on my phone so i can see pitch accent, somehow on computer i can only see it when i click item info, inconvenient

While I am a fan of typing answers, if you really feel typing answers is a waste of time, I would recommend simply using anki instead of wanikani to learn.

Thanks, but i couldn’t manage to learn kanji, wani kani system is so much better than raw dogging it

I actually use my phone and do the Japanese part on a Japanese keyboard. It helps with texting like Japanese people do and I feel fasted when I text my friends and helps retention IMO
