Pandemic-themed mnemonics

Does anyone have pandemic-themed mnemonics to share? Here’s mine

人数(にんずう)Number of people

This word is great for counting the NUMBER OF PEOPLE (にんず) who are staying home during a pandemic.

It’s ずう instead of すう, because when people stay home, the wild animals can roam the streets in safety. It’s like the ZOO is turned inside out, with the animals looking in people’s windows and wondering about the NUMBER OF PEOPLE (にん) in the ZOO (ずう).

列(れつ)Line, Queue

Two YAKUZA wives are at Don Quijote during a pandemic, and the LINE for TP is super long.

The YAKUZA really needs this TP, so one wife says “RETS (れつ) go to the front of the QUEUE/LINE?”. The other says “Hai, RETS (れつ) go!”

They pull out 10 deadly KNIVES each and display them in a ROW for all to see.

As expected, people move aside and they quickly move to the front of the TP LINE.

詳しい(くわしい)Detailed

In a pandemic, it’s important to be COOL (く) about WASHING (わしい)your hands in a DETAILED way. Wash each finger, around the nails, the back of your hands, palms, thumb…

Do a very DETAILED COOL WASH (くわしい).
