when the voting for the new book will start?
and when the new book will start?
I’ll be able to give you more definite information probably in about a week or so, but at the moment it seems the current club will be having it’s last week sometime between November 14 and December 12.
Nomination.
Title: きまぐれロボット
by 星 新一
alternative title: The Capricious Robot
A short story collection. Hoshi Shin’ichi is famous for extremely short stories, often just a few pages each, usually sci-fi or fantasy with a sharp twist or ironic ending. The original Kimagure Robot dates from 1966, and this Tsubasa Bunko edition is a newer version aimed at younger readers, which is why it’s a good fit for learners: the language is simple, there’s furigana, and the stories are short enough to finish in one-ish sitting maybe.
That cover art is familiar. I recognised あらゐけいいち’s work before I even saw his name written.
Voting time, what a happy time!

for the nominating i noticed some differents from other clubs we can do to make it easier to choose. like links to buy digitally and physically + if it’s free, furigana/partial furigana/no furigana, its level, pros and cos of the book, pictures or a link at least of the first few pages as a sample and a list in learnnatively of these books
I’ve put the list of nominations with a link to each book’s nomination post in the voting post so it’s easier to find. If you click through the title of the book, you’ll see the nomination post, which has furigana information:
If you click through to the Natively page, you’ll find purchase links:
Natively also tends to have furigana information in the ‘tags’ section as well:
And most book sellers provide samples of the first pages that are pretty easy to find. I figured since sellers provide sample pages, we don’t really need to re-post them here.
I can definitely make a list on Natively of the nominations if that makes browsing easier!
Edit: List is done! Browse the list on Natively
