I’m the one that nominated Pokémon Special, and I do have it on hand ready to read, but I’m sort of hoping Encouragement of Climb wins just because you’ve been campaigning for it for so long (and hiking in Japan is just the best!)

With the standard 1 week break, the start date would be April 19th. @jablekanji - as the nominator, would you be ok to run this book?
Also, 先輩がうざい後輩の話 / My Senpai is Annoying (14, 8, 11) and 現実もたまには嘘をつく / Real mo Tama ni wa Uso wo Tsuku (8, 10, 13) have polled below 15% for the last 3 polls, so will be removed from the list of nominations. This will leave us with 11 nominations remaining for the next poll (plus any that get nominated between now and then), which will likely be late May or early June, depending on the schedule that is decided for Pokemon.
(If anyone is interested: There are no nominations eligible for elimination in the next poll, as every entry remaining has received above 15% in either this poll or the previous poll, so the only one that will be removed will be the winner)

Looking at the Pokemon schedule, I see that there isn’t a defined schedule as they’re planning to poll a few weeks in.
Because of that, I’ll start the next book poll for this club on May 9th. This will give people the usual time to order books, even if the Pokemon book club ultimately goes for the shortest proposed time.

Oh, didn’t expect another vote to come so soon. Uh, I’m not prepared for another campaign. 
Vote for the mountains! If you’ve been reading the latest volume of Yotsuba, and have enjoyed the Takao-san arc, you’ll never guess what mountain they climb in the first volume of Yama no Susume. 
(Maybe I’ll do a photo comparison from my trip to Doai and Tanigawa-dake, because that was pretty effective last time. They don’t visit that in this volume, though…)

I’m gonna order the book now. Maybe that act of faith will ensure a win! Or perhaps it’s tempting fate. I guess we’ll find out. (Although of course, Yoruyo also deserves a win. But ヤマノススメ has been a bridesmaid but never the bride for so long!!)

I’m new to the book club and trying to figure things out. I hope y’all will be willing to hold my hand for a while – especially with the tech.
I’m looking forward to this and trying to take it in stride so I, hopefully, don’t get overwhelmed.

I see there is a book club that’s easier than this one–the Absolute Beginner Book Club. I think I’m going to start there, instead. But I expect I’ll wind up back in this club, eventually.

I am slightly amazed I had to photoshop that myself… In a world where I can find Ramiel in a sailor uniform, how has nobody drawn mt fuji as a waifu, better than my half assed photoshop
