That’s because this app has been developed before there were any kana vocabulary on Wanikani and is not maintained, so that won’t be fixed.
Flaming Durtles has been forked, meaning the original code is now reused to make a new app, where this and other things have been fixed, check out Smouldering Durtles if you want it (I am personally still using Flaming Durtles because I’ve had it in forever and the small bugs don’t bother me)
