国連
Meaning: United Nations / U.N.
Kanji:
国 (Country) (lv.6)
連 (Connect) (lv.19)
Saw that word pop up in a NHK Easy article today and I thought it was fairly important.
The place where countries connect definitely sounds like the United Nations. Makes sense, right?
The reading is こくれん, using the taught onyomi readings of both kanji. Straightforward enough.

@Mods perhaps something to consider adding?
The reading こく for 国 is already taught in 21 words, and the reading れん for 連 is already taught in 10 words. Adding another word with those readings seems like overkill to me.

Will have to agree with seanblue. Vocab in wk is for reinforcing readings, so words which already use represented readings aren’t that useful.

It’s an abbreviation of 国際連合.

I think seanblue has a good point but we’ll discuss it anyway.
