I am getting ready to finish up with Genki 2 and was looking around at resources for intermediate Japanese. I just noticed that Tobira has updated Gateway to Advanced Japanese - looks like they split it into 2 volumes: Tobira Intermediate 1 (released last year) and Tobira Intermediate 2 (coming soon).
Does anyone have any thoughts about the new release? and also about the Quartet series?
I have seen people advising Quartet 1 → Tobira → Quartet 2 and the place where I am taking lessons does Japanese for Busy People 3 between Genki 2 and Quartet.
