P.s. if you want the JLPT N5 kanji to appear in a logical order, you can change your kanji set to “JLPT Levels - Ordered by Heisig”, which has the first group of kanji in a logical order like “一二三四五六七八九十” (well, I guess only the first 10 kanji are in a logical order … hmm)

In the early 00’s, I thought “Sayinara” was an Italian word. Needless to say, I wasn’t really studying Japanese language at that time, though I was a big fan of Domo-kun (I still have the Domo-kun poster from my childhood bedroom).
Let’s see if we can get it to work. Are there any error messages that you can post a screenshot of? If you can, post the code that you put into your files, but make sure to remove the API key (I think those are supposed to be private, anyways).
Awesome, I love that idea! It should work, because I’ve known other people to have it run daily, and also I’ve set up my own computer to run some other WK-related stuff hourly (unreleated to wallpapers).

I can’t seem to get the multiple monitor feature to work on Windows 10. It is correctly downloading the two wallpapers but the one for my second monitor is being set to both monitors.
Can you post your update.bat file’s content here please? Make sure to remove your API key before posting, though.

Interesting! I’m getting a similar issue now, but I think I have a workaround.
Please add @timeout 1 between the WallpaperChanger.exe lines as in the snippet below, and let me know if it works. If it works for you, then I’ll update the instructions with this new line.

I love the customization options you’ve added for sorting and titles! The site is honestly just super user-friendly and you clearly put a lot of thought and time into this, it’s a huge improvement. I do have one suggestion (if possible, of course).
Personally, I’d like a sort by Joyo list option at some point. The Kyoiku is great, but stops short of the kanji learned by students in Junior High. As someone who teaches at a Japanese school, it’s sort of a passive flex of mine to have my background set with kanji they may or may not know yet 
If you can’t get around to it no biggie, I guess I’ll just have to settle for the already fantastic app you’ve created

I didn’t add Jouyou yet because I wasn’t 100% sure how. I need an expert to ask, and now it turns out that you’re my expert.
Does this list look okay? And what sections are important? I’m guessing that I should start from the top and stop right after Secondary School Kanji – does that sound correct? The only thing that doesn’t seem right about this list is that it says it hasn’t been updated yet, and I would use the list from Wikipedia, but it’s not well ordered.

And fair enough, it’s definitely a tricky list to pin down. I don’t know that I’d call myself an expert, but I’ll help to the best of my ability 
I’d say if you use that list, you’d go ahead and include the proposed changes, but it actually looks like there were 8 more kanji than in that proposal that got confirmed in 2010, judging by the Japanese Wikipedia page.
As for order, the English and Japanese Wikipedia pages show the additions in a different order, so maybe the Japanese one would be alright? Though the following page doesn’t have the full Secondary school list. Lemme go look for it and I’ll come back and edit when/if I find one. What kind of things are you looking for/considering when you look at the order? edit- the additions start at the " 2010年の改定" section
Edit 2- So I just found this table with the full list, and it can be sorted by both readings and school year (S = secondary school), and it’s the same table as is on the Japanese side of the site. Unfortunately, I have no idea Gonna move this to a reply

But, if I take the kyouiku list I already have, and add a new section called “Secondary School” and copy-paste all of the second-school kanji from the wiki link, would that make it a full jouyou set?
So you found the same table I did, and yea it does default to readings. It has an option to sort by Grade Level though, if that’s what you’re after?

That aside, yes if you just add the Secondary School kanji on top of the Kyoiku list, you’d have the complete Joyo list. You’d just need to make sure to add the above 196 and remove these 5- (銑 錘 勺 匁 脹), since they’re still included on your link but have been removed: According to my searches, the new 196 were all added to the Secondary curriculum and the Kyoiku list shouldn’t be affected by them.
