Seeing Hachi and Nobu fall in love is so touching and so beautiful. It’s such a stark contrast to her relationship with Takumi (though I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of him). It makes me so happy to see the characters suit each other so well, and be so joyful. Since it’s been a while, I also didn’t quite remember how Hachi and Nobu’s relationship dynamic was and now I’m even more convinced that anyone who is Team Takumi has major issues (including the author herself, who on multiple times said she liked Takumi more LOL).

Maybe I’m just reading too much into it, but Misato having a sort-of “secret identity” is hinted at, no? I mean, I feel like her conversation with Yasu makes it clear she’s using a fake name, and also maybe isn’t a student, either…

Okay I know I’ve mentioned this before (and I recall some others feeling the same) I cannot figure out why Kyosuke and Junko’s dialogue is so difficult for me to understand. Like I feel like my eyes just glaze over and don’t actually pick up on a single concrete thought. What is with that??

I feel like after so much build-up to their reunion, we really haven’t seen Nana and Ren interact much – at least in this volume?

Hachi and Nobu’s relationship makes Nana so happy, but also brings out her controlling and possessive side. It’s interesting to see that emerge. It seems like she knows it’s toxic, but can’t quite stop it. In the final panels, with her sitting along the river, I felt so melancholy – like I could feel all the doubt and confusing swirling in her head. Ah!
Now that I’m caught up I can’t wait to start volume 8!
