Hm, I don’t know, I don’t really mind. I don’t remember the timing exactly but I think Nana and Reira never met during this period, meaning that Nana and Ren became a thing after Reira had already dated Yasu for two years and then moved to Tokyo. So I would say, fair enough that he had at least one crush on another girl before meeting Nana.
That I’m fine with. But it’s weird that this is all happening all of the sudden. They’ve been in a band together, what, 4 ish years? This never ever came up before? 
I’m not sure I’m getting the situation with Misato.
She didn’t attend high school enough so she was to repeat a class, but her parents think that would be embarrassing so they told her to stop going to school and the mood at home became even worse. So she left her parents’ place and came to Tokyo and got a job at the company that has the staff taking care of Blast, among other things. She uses the name Mai Tsuzuki, which could be her real name, as Misato Uehara is the real name of Nana’s (half?) sister.
What confuses me is this scene p.157:
I don’t have answers bc I am entirely confused by all of these plot points in exactly the same way. I think I’ve even kinda lost who did what from earlier volumes at this point 
I keep skimming the “story so far” sections in the beginning to see if they’ll tell me, but so far, nope.
Okay, I got side-tracked and then thought I was behind, but now realise that I’m actually uptodate and have actually read this chapter…..
And I know I should have clocked this earlier (sometimes I’m really slow) but I’ve only just realised that Hachiko narrates in squares and rectangles - which does make it easier and quicker to realise who’s talking when you get a scene like this where she’s narrating, but the drawing depicts two other characters in a totally different location…
I loved this scene because it’s me every day at breakfast reading the news in English when I could be reading it in Japanese
I didn’t take this to be so much as romantic, but more like camaraderie - although it looks like the media are going to try and destroy Nana and Ren’s relationship via the photos.
But yes, there’s a lot that we aren’t told about their various backstories until suddenly it becomes a plot imperative - if this were a detective series, I’d be bummed.
Well, we can be pretty sure her name isn’t Misato, and it may not even be Mai Tsuzuki. And we know she seems to know a lot about Nana if she’s been using her half-sister’s name and don’t forget the folders….As for the info she’s collecting in the screenshot, it is for work but she might also have her own uses for it…so much about her screams stalker (like wearing Nana’s clothes as Hachiko notices).

I had kinda noticed that sometimes there were boxes, but I never put two and two together that it wasn’t the Nanas (but I was confused sometimes…). I can’t decide if I care enough to go back, but it does help going forward.
