Turns out it’s only because there are 50 pages bonus about Naoki, not as exciting as I was hoping

That’s kind of hilarious that we get 50 bonus pages about Naoki ahahah…I guess unlike every other member of Blast/Trapnest he has no relation to any other character, so I guess Yazawa couldn’t work in his backstory into the actual story without being completely random…and yet this still feels totally random 
Oh well time to get down with the thiccness!!

that reminds me I meant to post on here about the fact that Vivienne Westwood did a collaboration with Nana in honor of the manga’s 25th anniversary. This included special edition covers of the manga, as well as a clothing and accessory collection that IMMEDIATELY sold out (I tried so hard to get a purse…sigh).
The clothes are already off the website since they’re all sold out but you can see them here:
People on Reddit hated the collection, but I kind of liked it!
I don’t have that strong of opinions about it, but I think Nana is too cool for the clothes for her and Hachi is too stylish for hers too

However, as you can probably guess from this answer coming three months after the fact, I’ve had a bit of a hiatus with japanese, and catching up with this book club is now a complete mirage 
New deadline: catch up with us before Ai Yazawa-sensei continues the series 
That would actually be a good outcome - it would mean I had read the entire series, because there’s no way I’m catching up while the book club is active 
We’ll be taking a week break before starting volume 10, so our regulars can catch a break, and so people trying to catch up can have some hope

I believe this one is 5 chapter long instead of the usual 4.
As we are now finishing Volume 11 and participation has thinned out quite a bit (only 3 warriors left standing by my count), I would like to know if there is still an interest for reading with the club before posting volume 12 next week

I would be happy to take a break if that allows anyone to catch up with us. But I’m not sure what I’d do without my weekly Nana chapter
I do intend to catch up but it’s hard. Admittedly that huge 外編 at the end of volume 9 is a big bump in the road for me.
Alright I’ll let you know my secret on how to read huge things, but shh don’t tell anyone. You just start reading the current page and read it until it’s done. Then repeat for all the pages!
