There’s a 1/128 chance of a broken item drop, which Jeff can repair to become his strongest weapon. Might not be worth the hunt right now if you can’t handle defeating the enemy in battle. If it helps, you can level grind against the デヘヘラー for a while. ---

At first I didn’t notice the tiny Ness & Friends in your picture, well done lmao. > **Week 12** > > My memory gets haziest for this area, shrinking down on the world map and finding dinosaurs was the big memorable image in my brain, but otherwise… I guess it makes sense, the story stuff is dropping off for the moment while we mop up the last corners of the world to finish getting the melodies. If there’s a lull in the game for me I guess it’s this area, but we’re just around the corner from the grand finale and the area we end in is also interesting so really it’s just the calm before the storm. > > The diamond dog fight was rough; I made it through first try but we burned out on most PP in the first phase and it became this endurance test chipping it down, digging through items to squeeze out a little more healing, reviving a time or two… pretty memorable and cool in the end but I need to find another place to buy rockets cause I was out from the previous boss, haha. > > One really huge localization change is that [Ness is in his pajamas](https://legendsoflocalization.com/comparisons/earthbound/magicant/) in the English release. I tried to get the Sword of Kings, eventually giving up, so I am pretty overleveled and steamrolled through everything. I didn’t even stock up on rockets! One thing you should do before learning the final melody, give Ness the strongest pendant and all the ドラゴンパウダー you have. It’ll help you in the next part. ---

The moment with the computer(?) screen showing スネス’s thoughts was very nice. > > In the fire cave I had trouble with the PK男 where they’d do no damage to スネス or ジェフ but massive damage to ポーラ and プー with their fire attacks. Had similar trouble with the diamond dog fight. ポーラ died fully and I wasn’t able to revive her at all. So I had to finish the fight with the other 3. Odd. They seemed to default ‘ah’ sounds into ‘eh’ sounds because Sam (sasabon-SAM) became せめ, too. I’ve never been called せめ before, my goodness… 😳 ---
