It’s not used in any words a beginner needs to know, so it would seem odd to put it too early. After a certain point, pretty much all of the kanji are N1 kanji, so it doesn’t really matter how they’re ordered. Kanji aren’t placed later because they have difficult shapes, they tend to mostly just be used for more difficult words.

矢場女 - やばおんな - (n) Prostitute in a brothel disguised as an archery range.

Lately I’ve been talking about the differences between working in Japan and abroad, so naturally these term came up over a couple of conversations.
無責任 - むせきにん irresponsible
解雇 - かいこ firing, a layoff, dismissal
転勤 - てんきん transfer, relocation
転属 - てんぞく transfer (to another section), permanent change of assignment
不従順 - ふじゅうじゅん disobedience, insubordination
性格の不一致 - せいかくのふいっち incompatibility, difference in personality
指導員 - しどういん instructor, supervisor, team leader
適応力 - てきおうりょく adaptability, capacity
昇任 - しょうにん promotion、advancement
降任 - こうにん demotion

躊躇 （ちゅうちょ） - hesitation
In Tae Kim’s guide (which you can find here: Learn Japanese – Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese) had a comic exercise in it about a girl and a guy who were studying Japanese, and she was challenging him with difficult kanji, and i saw the kanji and immediately wanted to learn it.
I don’t really have any reason for knowing it other than it being a “difficult” kanji, but that’s something, i guess.

退社（たいしゃ）resignation; quitting one’s job <–sense that I saw it used in; although, confusingly, the dictionary says it can also mean simply leaving the office for the day.
堪能 (かんのう), means something along the lines of being proficient or skillful, otherwise indicating fortitude or even enjoyment from perseverance.

盲目 （もうもく） blind
Learned from the chapter my students are reading in class rn about Tsujii Nobuyuki
そちら and こちら. Today my penpal corrected me when I tried using そこ to ask how things were with him. I cannot find either of these in the index of Genki I or II, which is surprising, as they seem like rather basic words. Neither shows as WK vocab and are N5, according to jisho.
こちら and どちら are very commonly taught to beginners, but all of them can be extrapolated as こそあど words. It makes sense that they’re not taught on WK, because they almost never appear in kanji form.

One problem with Edict is it doesn’t tell you what meanings are common and what aren’t
良妻賢母 which means good wife and wise mother
I was saying to a friend that she would make a good wife someday. She said to me that her friends say so too and often use this expression to describe her.

for this particular word, do you happen to know which meaning is more common? In my head I’m thinking of it as the meaning that I saw it used as.
