I’m just wondering if I’m alone here but after I learn a new Kanji I almost completely forget all the mnemonics that helped me learn it in the first place. I just remember them by memory after that. Am I in my own boat here?

Mnemonics are only meant to supplement short term memory, so forgetting them is perfectly normal. Could you imagine reading a book where you had to repeat the mnemonics all the time?

It’s a pain when it doesn’t happen. I could never remember 馬力 until I found the perfect mnemonic. But now I can’t forget the mnemonic : (

I still use the mnemonic for 予め but I don’t see or use that one often, so that makes sense, maybe?

Not used often + multiple syllable kanji , that’s a hard one. Also you can’t forget Nick Cage : )
