hello, the mnemonic for 楽 is kinda clunky to remember for me, and even going through one set of reviews, got it wrong 10 mins ago, read the mnemonic but still got it wrong again. their one is something about a ‘rack’ (らく) but im finding it hard to then relate it to the story they made about the radicals. I know i’ll get it eventually but if anyone has a better mnemonic it would be cool
thanks
Something I came up with was “rock you” in the sense you would rock a baby to sleep. The reading doesn’t entirely line up (ろく), but it should be close enough where you can fill in the blanks, or even bring you to the rack mnemonic.
Think how you may rock a baby to sleep, or in your arms to comfort them when they cry. You may even find comfort in being rocked back and for in a rocking chair, or something of the like.
Hope this helps!
Haven’t you heard of the 楽天 Rakuten company?
To remember 楽 visually, I focus on the top part… it’s the sun 日, but shining bright! Like a lantern! Where do you find many lanterns? At festivals! Festivals are fun! People smile when they have fun ⸜(。 ˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
Don’t be a fraid to be creative! Wanikani’s mnemonics don’t work for me either half of the time.
Do you know Rakuen? 楽園 paradise
Heard 楽勝 in an anime? Easy victory.
楽天 like they said above, optimism.
The anime/manga 地獄楽 Jigokuraku.
I’m not much of a mnemonic guy, I find it easier to connect to stuff I know.
I “love to hate wanikani”
During these mnemonics that I can either think on a better one OR I can’t relate to, I put all my strength in hating Wanikani to the core (it worked like a charm with the stupid GeoDuck, Narwhal and few more )
So, something like “I ran out of LUCK (らく) and now I hate wanikani” could work for me.
I love wanikani, but I enjoy yelling at こいいち and his pals during some harder mnemonics <3
I hope this helps
Apparently, 楽 alone is common enough. Doesn’t it look like a hairy guy spreading his arms and shouting hooray?
The sound too. Like Kira says he will make 楽になる. It’s that he will write in death note.
