I still confuse 回る and 回す and I came up with this solution.

It’s a classic transitive-intransitive pair. When you have such pairs, the one ending in す is the transitive one. That’s how I remember which is which.

You can 回す a door knob, but you can’t 回る it.
The Earth 回る’s around the Sun, but the Earth doesn’t 回す anything.
