I understood it the same way, because さっ something usually feels like quick, but I asked my spouse just in case, who said:

  • it’s not a real word (hence the lack of dictionary entry)
  • but they think it’s an emphasis of さっくっと which comes from さっくり, meaning “lightly, gently”. Basically, the hand was nonchalantly “walking” over where he was and would then have killed him.
