It’s been a long journey here, but I’m very happy with my progress. This honestly started out as just something I undertook on a whim, but over time I learned to really get into it. I started reading about level 20, and I remember it was so impossibly difficult, it took me minutes to read a single page of manga. It’s a little bit demotivating to always look forward at the seemingly impassible mountain ahead, so it’s a bit therapeutic to take a moment to look back. I still have issues reading more advanced texts, but it’s slowly been getting better. I don’t really have to look at “can I read this?” anymore, it’s shifted to “Is this something I want to read?” I’m looking forward to spending a bit less time on SRS, and more time on reading, which I have definitely been slacking on these past couple of months. I climbed a ton, but the more i learn the more I become aware of how far I am from my actual goal. your post however is very encouraging 🙂 ---
