this one puzzles me a bit as “future” and “prospects” are pretty different words.
Weblio provides a fairly different definition: forward, forth, onward;
Usually, I bet on Weblio’s definitions.
必ず【かならず】unquestionably, definitely; (from Weblio);
I’m not sure about my interpretation of this. He’s talking about himself and then “that university’s professor”. I’m not sure what 必ず is modifying, なる?
“I will definitely become one of that university’s teacher in the future”
But isn’t he already a professor for that university?

Analysis:
To become a professor to start with is the topic of the sentence.
この大学 (that university) is the direct object of 『を』
The verb of the sentence is 変える: v. transitive, “to change”;
Is it:
“To become a professor in the first place, change this university”
or
“In the first place, when you become a professor, change this university”
I’m not sure how to apply まず in this sentence. The syntax still throws me off sometimes.
