API would probably be the best way to keep it up to date, yeah. If you want to customize it by user, you could have a user enter their API key and filter out items they’ve guru’d. Or you can keep it simpler and just use your API key to keep a master list of items per level, and then tag all items with WK# where # is the level number and let users manually filter those out.

Seems like a plan! I know @jprspereira and a few others have suggested it in the past, but I think now might be the perfect time to introduce such a feature because of the new management table and stuff Gonna put it on the prio list for after I’m done with bugfixes and the required stuff for launch

I have another question. So one of the reasons I haven’t used Kitsun is because I’m worried about having to manually filter out items I know from every deck I use. Do you have a way to cross-reference decks to detect if you learned the item already in another deck? I guess the decks would have to have the same template, but are there any other limitations

I’ve been often been thinking and brainstorming about this in the past. The main problem here is the difference of template fields. As long as we know the primary field, it should be doable to create a “known words” list per user, from there on you’d be able to do the same kind of filtering on decks (albeit manually by clicking a button to sync the current deck I suppose).

Now the above would work if every template has the correct primary field, if not, it would fail spectacularly

Another idea was to “sync decks” by manually selecting the reference deck and the main fields of the templates its using for its cards. But I’m not sure how user friendly/easy that’d be…

I’d love to hear your ideas on the subject if you got any (considering you are a programmer and you helped me brainstorm about the community centre before )

It is a feature I’d love to implement and has been asked for a few times, but so far I haven’t really found a viable solution to the problem yet.
