Yep! First volume  You can view them under the β€œBy Kitsun” category of the Community Centre  It’s still using the previous defaults though, hence the question ^^

I also still got like 30 other books and volumes ready to go as decks but haven’t published them yet. Seemed to me that they were not very popular, but I might be wrong about that

I was planning to read them all but I’m reading other books for now.
But i’m up for it for a later time

Something is off here :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: For some reason, once I go back the Vocabulary field selection disappears

Haha woops, thanks for letting me know. I’ll fix it ^^

Not completely sure what’s causing the second issue but I’ll look into it

Let me know if you need any extra info

Guys, I’ve made a deck for Kitsun based on the Wanikani Expansion Pack published in the WK forums before. I saw that some people were using it on other platforms so I thought it would be nice to have it on Kitsun as well ^^

Description:

  • More than 4700 words for you to learn!
  • Modern looks - Kitsun default template integrated!
  • All cards have Part of Speech.
  • All words are tagged by WK level, so you can jump to your current level right away if you wish to!

You can study words:

  • Japanese - Reading
  • Japanese - Meaning
  • English - Japanese

The deck might not be fully updated to 2020’s version of Wanikani, but just let me know if there’s any repeated word, etc

Looks great and nice deck cover! I saw your recommendations in The Den, I didn’t even know you could delay sibling cards for Eng-Jp until now, that makes a lot more sense.

There is an issue going on with the personal synonyms and notes for the 10k deck. I’ll make sure it’s back to normal when I come back home later tonight. But in case your synonyms are not working for the 10k deck, it’s because of this.

And if possible, please refrain from making notes and synonyms for the 10k deck until it is fixed later today. (They won’t work after the fix since they will be bound to the wrong layouts and templates)

Another side effect is that layout filtering for the 10k deck might not work as expected for now.

Thx for you hard work. That seemed like a long time to make.

Thanks for your hard work too. I know I said it often but this app is prob the best I ever found.

muahahah I saw WK people using it on Memrise (surprisingly one of the most popular decks there it seems), so I just went for it

Thank you ^^

Yeeep, I’m a big fan of separating siblings. It makes things stick so much better, and it’s not that much more effort. You get more reviews, but since you’re only doing 1 sibling you can really go through 100 reviews without getting tired (at least from my experience). I usually have them separated by 23h so that I can see the layouts in consecutive days

I used it for the katakana vocab deck and I also recommend it for Core 10k, mainly if you want to also study EN -> JP ^^

The only thing that I wish would be a way to choose which siblings get separated or not. For example, it makes sense to separate EN -> JP, but it’s fine doing JP -> Meaning and JP -> Reading together. The problem with separating the 3 layouts is that if you have a 23h interval between siblings, it will take 12 days to get an item out of apprentice. It’s too much. Not only that, but doing a lesson, waiting 4h and then waiting 23h right after is just asking to get lessons wrong. It’s too big of a jump, at least for me.

I’ve mentioned this to Neic and it seems to be something hard to build. Another solution was being able to choose the intervals between siblings just like you can choose the SRS intervals. That seemed like a good solution, as it will fix the 4h to 23h jump, since 23h is the interval I usually recommend ^^

It didn’t take much tbh since the deck was built on other platforms already but thank you ^^

Next is a Russian deck :eyes:

Is the 10k now on the new default template? (Or I guess it can be converted to the new default template)

The old template for the 10k was putting me off doing it (and being lazy about changing it myself)

I’m gonna use that one(in 20 years when I will be learning Russian. I want to do German and Korean before maybe even chinese before)

Thank you so much for the kind words

The 10k deck was made by hinekidori and uses his selfmade templates and layouts. The creator has control over the layouts and templates for the deck.

What would be possible is to create a personal copy and modify it to use the default layouts with that. But that would require some more work (from my side as well).

As a sidenote I’ve been thinking about adding core 2k - 4k - 6k - 8k - 10k to Kitsun. When the known words feature arrives it would be easy to go from deck A to deck B without having to hibernate anything manually.

The 10K Deck should now be back to normal again!

I think I’ll just do Chinese after this and I’ll be done with languages, tbh. My brain already struggles with 3  (4, if I include my completely fluent Russian).

An addict always thinks they can stop doing the thing …

You’re doomed, friendo.

That would be great if you did. I know hinekidori put a lot of work into that template but it drives me slightly nuts, no criticism, just personal preference. Your new dark templates are really working for me.

Again no great hurry. I’m building some new decks for the Japan Sommelier Association exam i plan to attempt in the fall, and I still have the big fish kanji deck to make.

Whats a good template to use if I want to include images in a deck?
