JLPT Practice

Wanikani has been, by far, the best Japanese resource that worked me. I believe that by now I would be ready (or almost) for JLPT 5 or 4. But I wish I could have a study focused on 5, and then on 4. To build up the confidence that I know the vocabulary and kanji needed for that level.

Some people on here (me included) use Bunpro as well because it includes vocabulary and grammar for JLPT levels, with a similar SRS system, as well as having some practice JLPT tests. You can sync Wanikani with it as well. They have a one-month free trial to see if the site works for you.

I prefer Wanikani, probably because I started it first, but I’m more motivated to do Bunpro reviews than to review material from a vocabulary learning book (I tend to learn them and then not review them at intervals, so they don’t stick)..

Thank you Sarah.

I tried Bunpro and synced it with WaniKani. I thought the platform was indeed really good! However, to do my Anki flashcards that I create, Wanikani, consume a little bit of japanese here and there, on top of that add another platform to my daily routine, and take my weekly classes and follow Genki, it became too much and I couldn’t keep up. Bunpro has too many things to do. I just wanted to practice the JLPT vocabulary and kanji with Wanikani because it is already paid for and I guess it is just a matter of adding a filter to the platform.
But if they don’t implement this, I think that I will go to Bunpro just for the practice tests that they have.

Thanks again.
