JLPT Open Catalogue — Free JLPT Practice Questions (N5–N1)a

Hello fellow learners,

Last December i failed my N4 by a single point which was rough but gave me a reality check on where I thought my weaknesses were. I could tell I sacked at certain grammar style questions like the fill in the blank star etc. To better prepare for next December i made this website that let’s me build practice tests specifically targeting the styles of questions I am bad at. The question pool is a mix of AI generated with human confirmations and real test questions. Wanted to share with all in hopes it will help someone!

Having missed the passing grade for N4 by three points a few years ago, I feel your pain :innocent:

What was worse it was off by 1 in only grammar! So totals and other sections were all good!

Love the idea, thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately, I think it’s a little too few questions to be really useful - I am currently focusing on studying grammar for the N3, so only having 27 questions isn’t really enough to cover all of the N3 grammar (and thus also not that great as a diagnostic tool of identifying which grammar constructs I might still struggle with). I see that N4 & 5 have more content, so maybe there’ll be more stuff added?
The little explanations though are mostly helpful – I say mostly helpful, because I think for some of the vocab questions the explanation just boils down to “this is the only logical answer” - which like, fair enough, but also just not that helpful, haha.
Thanks for sharing and good luck with your studies and projects!

Thanks very much for the comments! I will for sure add a lot more content going forward:) and i am working on flagging questions that are just not all that useful. Thanks!!
