I mean it was intentional, just not very good
Awww, what a missed opportunity
Just had a quick look at the API and it looks that the following kanji have nanori defined so far:
Kanji | Nanori |
---|---|
叔 | お |
菅 | すが |
智 | とも |
胡 | きゅう |
輔 | すけ |
彩 | あや |
樹 | いつき |
介 | すけ |
航 | わたる |
清 | し |
河 | こう、こお |
陽 | はる |
和 | かず、より |
長 | は |
向 | なた |
谷 | せ |
太 | おお |
大 | ひろ |
一 | かず |
Edit: I just looked at a data dump I had of the subjects as they were in May 2020 and they were also there. It’s been serious for some time now…
I’m definitely saving this one for later purposes! ^>^
Yeah, but not stinkin’ 駿, which’d make that kanji so much easier to remember. It’s はやお, see?
As in 宮崎駿.
what exactly is nanori reading? the special readings for names and places?
Aye, that’s exactly it.
名乗り(なのり)
- The act of giving/declaring one’s name
- The reading of the kanji used in a name
So yup, any sort of name – people, places etc
Hold on a moment, does WK teach nanori readings without having 名乗りas a vocab item?
