Does anybody else have proof or not, whether this or any language is a scam.

If the existence of Japanese itself is a get-rich-quick scam, itā€™s not working.

Well Iā€™m not rich yet, soā€¦ maybe  ?

On a more serious note, Iā€™ve been seeing kanji and vocabulary Iā€™ve learned here in books Iā€™ve been reading. WK does work, but you do need to make sure you try to go read actual content (manga, novels, news, short stories, games, etcā€¦) so it can stick. Otherwise youā€™ll just end up forgetting and it wonā€™t be the programā€™s fault. The brain will only keep information around for so long if you donā€™t use it.

How Can Language Be Real If Our Money Isnā€™t Real

Idk, I think we are culturally richer for having studied it.

Wanikani works
Quickly? Absolutely not.

Languages are a scam invented by dictionary companies to sell you more words. But as far as learning a language, wanikani is sort of legit. You learn some kanji and eventually try to read. It doesnā€™t do everything for you but it helps some.

Donā€™t even get me started on big Wheelchair profiting off peopleā€™s inability to walk and keeping them dependent on their products, sometimes indefinitely!

Judging by your profile pic, youā€™ve been conned by big BBC, which has been trying to keep us addicted to the same tv program for what, 60 years now? The ultimate scheme.

If itā€™s a scam, why canā€™t I get the kanji out of my brain. Why canā€™t I get the kanji out of my brain

Can you elaborate on how or in what ways a language could be a scam? Do you have any examples of any languages which are a scam?

I donā€™t know what that is, but if itā€™s Esperanto, I take back what I said before, what a strange and wonderful collection of words youā€™ve shown here

Edit: this probably sounds like sarcasm but itā€™s actually not. I love it when languages insert random jā€™s into words. but I still wonā€™t learn Esperantoā€¦

I took you as sincere, no worries

That is Esperanto. It also has letters with little hats on them, like ĉ and ĵ and ŝ and all sorts of fun stuff!

Iā€™m Romanian, our language has both little hats on a couple of letters (Ć¢ and Ć®) and also little commas under a couple others (ş and Å£) aaand even an inverted hat (ă)ā€¦ Hmmm does that make it a double/triple-scam?
