Is there a less tiring way to type in japanese? I think I'm stressing my arms and wrists too much

i never use shift i always quick tap caps lock when capitalizing words :flushed:

I just realized there’s a ton of IME shortcuts, and depending on the IME you use you might be able to reconfigure a lot of them (I use mozc). Mine said it’s using an MS-IME keymap, so I’m guessing the shortcuts are same on windows, so here’s the full list of shortcuts: https://paste.rs/5Ti

Some interesting ones include ctrl + d/s for cycling through the segments to convert, ctrl + m to commit (if pressing enter twice consecutively is annoying), and ctrl + k/l to shrink/expand the selected segment width.

If you use tab to cycle, at least on my IME you can backtrack using shift+tab.
