I am trying to figure out why I’m getting this wrong, I’m terrible at reading katakana, but I can’t tell why my answer is wrong.

Are you typing in “beddo”?
Is the べ in hiragana?

Seconded, maybe you had on caps lock but still hit shift for the first letter?
Third-ed. I had the same problem too, that makes a lot of sense.
If you don’t change the language of your keyboard when you’re writing, it’ll automatically change what you type into hiragana, so you’ll get べっど and that should accept it.
