Hi Wani Kani community
Loving my learning journey so far - but seem to have come up against a wall so wanted to see if it is a common glitch/issue or a normal part of the learning program.
I’m currently on L7 (yes - still very much a baby) and really close to moving up to L8. I have been sitting waiting to Guru just 2 more kanji before progressing for a few days now with no change.
I figured I just had to be patient while I waited for them to come up enough but I’ve now stopped getting any new lessons either - even though I am doing all my reviews every day and I see there are still some unlocked vocab for me to learn in this level.
My review results have gone up and down but even at my worst I am still within the learning zone so I can’t understand why I seem to have stopped.
Has anyone had something similar happen to them? Is this normal? Suggested fixes?
Really appreciate the help - don’t want to lose my rhythm - or my motivation.

this is normal: those kanji are still waiting for you to guru them; some of the vocab that you see waiting for you use those kanji, and WK decided that they won’t give those vocab to you until the corresponding kanji reach Guru.
Sounds to me that you just need to guru some more kanji. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, just keep doing your reviews and you’ll progress before too long.
Hey! Fellow Level 7 here, and I’m also approaching the end of the level. Yeah, it’s slowing down a bit as the kanji are getting Guru’d, but you’ll be able to see a clearer timeframe on how soon you’ll progress if you understand the SRS system they use. Once you have a good idea of how that system works, you can see how far along you are with each radical, kanji, and vocabulary word by going to the Level Progress section (where it says “Guru (X) more kanji to level up” and clicking on the categories. Underneath each radical/kanji/vocab will be an indicator showing which Apprentice level you’re at, or it may have a full green bar if it’s already Guru’d.
Personally, I’m going to try doing one extra lesson at the start of Level 8 of only radicals to see if this helps reduce that slowdown.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly with this info. Yeah I must have just hit a perfect storm with having few kanji left to guru, but not having them come up often enough in my reviews that I was able to move on. Coupled with them being part of the vocab meant that I wasn’t getting anything new and had just stalled out.
But as I had never experienced this - it was a relief to get confirmation that it wasn’t actually a system issue and that it was worth just keeping going - that I would eventually get there - otherwise I may have lost motivation through frustration 
Hit L8 now and have new lessons - so onwards and upwards. And I will know in future not to be concerned if this happens again.
