# Is it wise to put my grammar lessons on pause until I get to about Lvl. 10 in Wanikani?

In that case, you might not want to stop practicing grammar but to slow down on learning _new_ grammar points and focus on getting confident in producing discussions / notes that make use of these grammar points. My suggestion would be to take part in the [Japanese only](https://community.wanikani.com/c/japanese-language/japanese-only-beginners/66) section or the [One Sentence a Day Challenge](https://community.wanikani.com/t/japanese-sentence-a-day-challenge/45334), in case you don’t already do 🙂
