Hmm that’s weird. The input field has the same logic as the one in the normal reviews. To get きょ you have to type “kyo” and for ちゅ “chu”. Or did I misunderstand the issue?
Yeah it works for starting a new word. In this one there is already the う there. Trying to type ちゅ after that う and it doesn’t work.
Ah I see, that is currently expected, you need to type in the full word, not just fill in the blanks. I can change it if this is too annoying.

Can I make a suggestion:
With the clues for the crosswords, prior to starting the crossword puzzle would it be possible to have the option to have the clues in:
- English or
- Kanji or
- English / Kanji
Thinking out of the box as well, when you get the correct answer - audio playback
and to have the hints as audio playback
It’s all about reinforcement of learning.

Suggestions for the crossword:
Can we please slightly increase the font size for the kanji clues? I’m on an iPhone Pro max and I had to strain my eyes to read “警視庁” 
After you’ve completed the final word in the crossword, it goes straight to the statistics page. Perhaps there could be acknowledge button - like crossword completed (? or something similar) before going to the statistics page. It’s good to see the puzzles once you’ve completed it - a visual accomplishment - like when you complete a level on the app.
On the stats page after you’ve completed it, maybe you could break down how much you actually solved and revealed (you pressed the revealed button ). I know it says “x/x solved” at the end, but how many times did you reveal an answer to finish or help you with the puzzle?
With the crossword word selection, is the word selection based on the words you have unlocked for that level?
I’ve just updated the app with some improvements for the crossword, hopefully all these are fixed.

This app is a game changer for WK users.
I love the look of this app, and it’s got lots of great functionality!
Unfortunately I can’t do my reviews with it (Android) - as unlike the app I use currently it doesn’t auto-switch the keyboard between english and japanese, an essential feature for me (as I can’t manually switch for every single item and learning to use the JP keyboard well is a big part of my learning). It would be amazing to have this feature (Android supports keyboard language “hints” that sets the keyboard).
But overall looking great - I love the Spotify-recap-style level previous level recap!

I just released version 1.4.4 on Android which should have the setting to automatically switch the keyboard. Lmk if it works!
