The level is okay from what I remember.
It doesn’t have furigana for everything, just some weird words.

But I’m also reading 時をかける少女, Aria, The Reckoners trilogy, and 放浪息子 volume 1 right now. So where do I possibly have time to read Planetes?
There’s twenty-four hours in the day, I’m sure there’s less important things you can skip.

By the way, @seanblue, I have translated my quick-n-dirty code to javascript and put it up on greasyfork:

It adds automagically the score to the poll… but only if the poll was loaded when the page was ready.
Discourse only loads 20 posts at a time, so you have to reload for every poll, basically…
I think jumping to the poll from the link in the OP does the trick, though (I haven’t tried yet).
Edit: it sadly doesn’t, you do have to reload the page. Still faster than counting by hand

I agree, I love the animation and the music from the anime and I think it’s the best way to receive the story first hand. But the style in the manga is also beautiful and way more expressive and flexible than that in the anime so I still think reading the manga would offer a fresh and valuable experience.
