Today I thought that I could maybe find an interesting book to nominate for the upcoming poll, and I stumbled upon this one:
I was curious whether it had already been nominated, and found this comment from 2017 (!):

Personal Opinion
- I have no idea regarding the contents of the book, but I bought it at some point, so I must have been of the impression that it is worth reading
- It has won a few prizes (you can read more on the book’s Wikipedia page)
- The above comment sparked my interest, and I think it’s interesting to read books that Japanese schoolchildren are being exposed to.
- The book is quite short, and according to Natively’s Level 30, it seems not too hard to read, which makes it a good fit for the IBC.
