Interesting use of ateji I just encountered

I’m not sure where should I post it, but I wanted to share a funny example of ateji(?) I just saw in a game I’m playing.

It’s an ancient Dating Sim / Visual Novel Kimi ni Steady | vndb from 1998.
One of the protagonist’s classmates speaks in quite quirky way - and his trademark “speech quirk” is ending most of the sentences with かもしれない or かも - but he kinda slurs and drags it out, so it turns into かもしんまい and かもぉ respectively - and in text it always gets written with kanji:
鴨新米 and 甲鳥ぉ

Example:

「篤志君てば、なんだか張り切っているの鴨新米。いつも、みそっかす君だから、ここぞとばかりに目立とうとしているの甲鳥ぉ

I found the second one to be quite funny, because it’s 鴨 split into separate kanji

Also, being computer geek, sometimes he uses emoji in his lines

「女子の部屋・・秘密の花園・・未知との遭遇・・うひょっ!ヽ(^o^)丿」
