There’s a couple of words here and there that seem to have short vowels in the recording, but I pegged that down as simply the speaker not taking great pains to emphasise the longness of the vowel.

That doesn’t explain the fact that two vocab items, one pronounced しゅうい and the other しゅい, have two audio files with different names (3664-周囲.mp3 and 3257-首位.mp3) but identical content. Try to download those two audio files and run diff on them, no output.

They usually mass fix errors every (week? I forgot the interval of time), so probably not yet.

It’s still the same.
Always good to make it visible on the forums - but anecdotally, I’ve had success with emailing WK support in the past.
Turn around time for a response from them is usually 1-3 days.
You should email them and link to this thread. They generally respond quickly by email.
We’re going to be replacing all of the audio soon. This won’t be fixed until that change goes through.

Even the one for “WaniKani”? Is that Koichi’s voice?
It is his voice. (I had him record it as a sort of easter egg when we added 51-60.)
I think the new audio will replace that one too, but there might be a way to add it back in later with some other plans we have. I can’t guarantee it (or really talk about the other plans) but I’ll keep it in mind.
