It’s quite annoying to have to repeat an item when the answer you were trying to input was correct, but you hit a wrong button on your keyboard. For example, for the already half-english word 携帯ストラップ that I’m trying to clear off the list, but because I wrote けいたいいすとらっぷ it drops down in tier…
It’s a simple keyboard operation mistake and does not require practicing the word 5 more times. When words that you have no problem with end up getting piled because of such situations, it hampers the rest of the lesson as instead of focusing solely on things you need to repeat, you get cluttered with known words.
Now there are third party extensions that introduce this feature, but I argue that this is not something that should require additional time and effort to learn how these plugins work, or require software like Tampermonkey which sound rather unsafe (as in you’re introducing a potential vulnerability to your system) to me.
Other methods like closing the browser, clearing cache etc etc. interrupts the lesson as well, a built-in feature would still provide a better experience.
KaniWani has the ignore button and it helps a lot. Leave it up to the user to judge whether the mistake was due to lack of mastery over the word thus requires repeating it, or due to a mechanical mistake.
Thank you.
