Same. I like the gifs, but I really like the % breakdowns. Knowing that Iāve covered X% of grade levels or JLPT levels is a fun fact to read after leveling

It kinda dope to receive these emails. When I do, it like to keep my progress too and I share it with my friends to show that im progressing in learning japanese.

Honestly, quite an underrated part of using Wanikani. It felt almost like an automated āpersonal kanji trainerā each time I levelled up. Iād get encouraging words, a cute little motivating gif and a quick idea of some of the kanji coming up next.

They remind me of how I felt as a kid when I got stuff in the mail. I had this really cool book with addresses you could write to for free stuff. It was usually pretty dumb stuff. One time I got a box of āI love Idahoā stickers. (No offence to Idaho but pretty useless in my neck of the woodsā). But still, I was a little kid getting stuff in the mail and for a minute it made me feel happy. Just like these little gifs and words of encouragement.

Just got the L40. The level up email system is great and we all need a burst of positive reinforcement. I like how it instantly arrives as soon as the system bumps you to next level.

I really look forward to the level up emails too. I never really know what to expect from them, and they feel like a nice little reward for completing yet another level.
