Hi everyone, Frederik here 👋 ! In my eternal quest to optimize language learning by procrastinating and spending hundreds of hours coding instead of actually studying, I present to you: **[my unofficial WaniKani mobile app](https://wanikani-mobile.vercel.app)!** ![showcase](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/wanikanicommunity/original/4X/4/8/7/48725dc07f2957edd60c1da2ed51bfd80796718b.gif) It’s a mobile-first web app that you can add directly to your phone’s home screen, where it behaves much like a regular app. It even supports push notifications, so you’ll know when new reviews are waiting for you. The idea is to make using WaniKani on a phone a little simpler and more comfortable. Typing out long answers on a touchscreen keyboard can be a pain, so instead, the app shows you a radical, kanji, or vocabulary item and lets you reveal the answer when you’re ready. From there, you simply tap **“Knew it”** or **“Didn’t know.”** That’s it. Less typing, faster reviews, and hopefully a slightly nicer way to work through WaniKani on your phone. You can check out the code **[over on my GitHub](https://github.com/FrederikNorlyk/wanikani-mobile)**. ---
