Am i the only one to think this AI calls kanji what is clearly katakana? Most of what it calls katakana-kanji compound is pure katakana.

I’m all for recommending caution with LLMs and Japanese, because they can assert very wrong things very confidently, but this gives me flashbacks of people taking screenshots of GPT-3.5 to show how terrible AI is while GPT-4 was already solving it…
Yes, the small model of Gemini 1.5 (Flash) OP used botch it, but the big model doesn’t.
