How to soft reboot / reset WK?

I bet I am not the only one who went on a WK hiatus, returned and only remembers shopping related kanji. What is the best way to get back in? I think I read somewhere that I can unburn the burnt stuff, that’d be good for starters.
I made it to LvL38 a year ago and then basically dropped the ball. Very happy how much I do still recall. but often enough I see a kanji and know I studied it, but forgot what it means / how to read.
Thanks for kind feedback, words of encouragement and general ‘making fun of’

I’d recommend looking at wkstats and seeing how much you remember from there. Then you can make your decision if you want to do a full reset to a certain level, or just unburn some things, or leave as is.

To unburn, go to the items page and there’s a button labelled “resurrect” at the bottom. This will set it back to Apprentice 1 so if you unburn a lot of items at once there’s a risk of review piles becoming unmanageable.

Look at the list of kanji starting from level 1 and go up from there. Once you start seeing a level where you aren’t recognizing most of the kanji, that’s where you can reset.

Alternatively, you can go nuclear and reset to level 1 with the idea being that if the kanji is so easy to you, those levels will be super easy and you’ll level up super quick until you reach the point where most are unknown, though this can take several weeks to get back to a point where you’re re-learning forgotten stuff again.

Personally, I hit level 60 once, came back after ~4 years of other priorities and reset to level 20 doing the former.

thanks for reminding me of WKstats .. I actually still had that one browser window open in the back, all that time. Just had to log back in and .. woah, time on this level: 362 days .. nearly exactly a year since my last level up …

Ah, someone else who keeps all the things open all of the time. I understand this well.
