How Many Total Reviews Do You Have?

I just passed the 200,000 total reviews milestone. That is…a lot.

Sometimes I feel bad about my studying but 200,000 total reviews shows I haven’t been slacking at least. Around 2.5 years averaging over 200 reviews a day. I may not be good at this but at least I’m consistent.

How many do you have?

Just crossed 70k last night, according to WK stats.

53,966. I do have 137 pending right now though.

Hmmm, something isn’t right. My average is 210 reviews per day (per WKSTATS), BUT I generally do less than a hundred per day. When I do exceed 100, it’s generally about 110 to 120, with an exception several months ago when I was doing about 150 to 160 per day for about 4 to 6 weeks.

Seems like it’s counting my reviews twice because an average of about 105 per day would seem a lot more reasonable to me…??? Still high but at least in the right ballpark.

It probably counts both the pronunciation and the meaning, which would explain why your average is higher.

Congratulations! That’s quite an achievement!

Good job! Good luck on those 137 reviews too.

just over 15k total reviews in 58 days.

That averages 263 reviews / day (or 138 when not counting reading & meaning separately)
Going hard, but the question is: how long can I keep this up?

That was my first thought but after thinking about it, it doesn’t pan out.

In SSQ, if I have 7 reviews to be done, then my actual number of reviews becomes 14 (excluding any radical/kana reviews) because SSQ tests for both pronunciation and meaning.

But in our normal dashboard reviews, those same 7 reviews are indeed ONLY 7 reviews because those dashboard reviews only review the pronunciation or the meaning and the reversed reviews (meaning or pronunciation) occurs at a separate time with its specified number of reviews. So, if I did 100 reviews in a day (some of which may only include the pronunciation, or only the meaning). And, in some cases it may include both in which case it would be counted as 2 of the 100 and NOT 4 out of 102.

Hence, WKSTATS’ total for that day should be 100 and NOT 200! But what heck, 100,000 or 200,000, eh…what’s 100,000 in the end result of our learning journey! Let’s face it, until today I NEVER looked at that total and chances are pretty good I’ll never look at it again.

We’re ALL free to count in our own way, for our own benefit.

Most of my reviews were done while bored at work, so if you are bored at work I think you will do just fine!

That won’t work for me, I think my commute to where you work would likely be too long.

I’ve topped 10000 now. Wow. It simultaneously feels like it’s only been a few hundred and a few million.

95729 over 451 days and 32 levels… 200k before reaching L60 seems entirely plausible

I managed to burn everything with 181,877 reviews and a whole lot of undo abuse.

JPDB doesn’t track this stat, sadly. But I just passed the 1000-day streak milestone, and I average 150-180 reviews a day, so even if I wasn’t doing that many a day at the start before the workload ramped up that must be comfortably over the 100,000 mark, probably more like 150,000.

I’m in the same boat. 2.5 years of Wanikani so far. Around 250,000 reviews total so about 277 reviews a day. Kinda crazy to think about my learning progress in these terms. It feels good to know I’ve at least been consistent if nothing else haha. Keep it up! 頑張ってね〜!:flexed_biceps:

I have 27603 total reviews and I started with WaniKani mid December 2024.
200,000 is an achievement for sure! Grats on being consistent :blossom:

Great to have company in the 200+ club lol. I’m currently 292,000 and still counting :skull:, though it’s slowed down quite a bit. I’m mainly just visiting to burn my remaining vocab and review previously burned ones.

Yeah except I’m at level 30 though XD. Apparently I’m a little dumb but I’ll get to your level someday.
