How do I assess my progress?

So… I’m basically trying to figure out some method or tool to help self-assess my efficiency/progress. I’m not trying to speed run! I’m far enough along that I notice that some items seem to come in, get leveled up, and cause no problems - but others I learn then see them churn from one level up to another then back down.

Overall, I keep my new lessons somewhere between 4 and ten items per day which is fine. Of late, my global distribution is around 50-80 apprentice, about 350 each guru and master, around 1000 enlightened, and then a slowly increasing number of burned items (yay!). Over the last 30 days I seem to be buring items at an average of around 7 per day.

So, is there some sort of graphic or chart than depicts changes in the proportions of the various levels? Even better would be a tool that would point out items (either individually or in groups) that tend to not progress in linear (more-or-less) fashion.

I look at WKStats which is neat for global impressions, but i’m wondering if other tools exist.

Thanks everyone.

Try reading something in Japanese aimed at new learners like Satori Reader, or NHK Easy.

The reading idea is very good - try a graded reader and you’ll be surprised what you can understand.
For something more technical, Zenshin for Wanikani gives a good overview of how you are going.
