When I get a review wrong I usually click the show answer/eye button afterward and then I want to hit enter to go to my next review. I believe this used to work but right now if I click the show answer button and hit enter it will act as if I’m clicking the button again rather than still being in the text box. Is there a way to change this behavior with a userscript maybe?
I had this exact same issue, there’s a super easy fix. Use the built-in Wanikani review hotkeys, so you never have to click anywhere or use the mouse at all and the enter key will stay focused on the text box. F = open item info, E = expand all tabs after opening item info, J = play audio, arrow keys to scroll up and down.
Basically the issue was that the rest of the internet uses enter as “activate the item with the focus”, so WaniKani’s use of enter as “advance to the next card regardless of what item has the focus” was preventing people who were using accessibility controls from viewing item info and so forth after a review. As Fishfulness suggests, you’ve just gotta change up your workflow a bit.
