Hello! Is it okay to substitute センター for 中心

I’m trying my hand at making a little comic about Japanese idols.

センター(Inferred: The “middle” position in choreography) seems to be part of idol nomenclature but I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to use it like I would for 中心(e.g. "‘center’ of the Earth).
I’m trying to make a joke that relies on センター being ambiguous enough to mean both the center role and location.

Great question! It’s probably okay to do so-- i.e. it would probably be understood-- but it’s not the most correct terminology. If it’s for a joke, heck yeah! Japan is all about using different associations for the same word. If it’s for a project or school paper or something then probably stay with 中心.
