Good note-taking resource to categorize japanese vocabulary?

Hi! I’m a new learner and I wanted to ask if anyone has found a good resource for categorizing vocabulary learned?

What I mean by this is that, I want to be able to note down my vocab learned and then filter it, for example by adjectives (e.g. な-adjectives and の-adjectives), nouns (e.g. places), and verbs (e.g. う-verbs)

I just want to have a place where I can just group up and filter vocabulary, I feel like it will help strengthen my learning in the long run.

Have you tried Anki? You can assign tags to your vocab cards which would allow you to filter them later on.

Hi! As a beginner I found having a notion database for vocabulary was very helpful. You can create your own filters on notion and customize the database to suit your language learning needs. You can check out this video to know how you can use Notion for language learning:

Kitsun is pretty good from what I’ve seen if you’re okay with a paid option. They have a thread in the forums you can check out. MaruMori.io & Kitsun.io - [HOLIDAY SALE ENDING SOON] - Grammar SRS, Grammar Lessons, Reading Exercises, Vocabulary, Kanji and more!

  • Go to the settings by clicking on the gear button on the Item Inspector toolbar.
  • Click on the Settings tab

To use the optional filter here is the procedure.

  • Go to the settings by clicking on the gear icon

Then the items with the selected part of speech will show up.
