This thread is about the bonus material that was released after Volume 21.

The following extra stories were published after volume 21 and before volume 22:

  • 猫の喉を鳴らすもの: Published as an Amazon-exclusive bonus story for orders for vol. 21.
  • 虜囚: A pamphlet published as part of the publisher’s Chara Birthday Fair series in 2013.
  • 夜会の華: Released in the 2013 edition of Chara Collection Extra, a mail-order book containing short stories from the publisher’s (Chara’s) lineup.
  • VVSS-K 1: Published on author’s Twitter (@matsuokanatsuki).

VVSS-K 1: I’ve been looking forward to reading these Twitter short stories for a while! I was really excited to find them, then quite sad to see that I was a while away from being able to start reading them volume-wise. :joy: Good thing I waited, too; this was pretty short and sweet, and because of that there’s no dancing around the main topic: Kazuya despairing over Kaito leaving at the end of volume 17. I thought Matsuoka’s writing here felt a bit poetic due to being forced to write shorter sentences, and I thought it fit in with Kazuya’s despair quite well with that. I mentioned it before in that thread, but I’m really hoping that we see Kazuya again, and/or have some sort of actual wrap-up to his story, rather than what we were left with at the Hoe. No indication of that here, of course, but it’s good to know Kazuya was still on the author’s mind at this point, several volumes after the fact.
