After 7 years, I’ve made it to level 60. (Besides the new additions)! It’s been a long journey, and I’ve still got a long way to go with grammar, but I’m proud I’ve come this far! Here’s my stats:

Reading is super easy! I feel pretty confident in it. Speaking/listening has always been my weakness, so I’ve gotten a tutor to help with that. I do recognize words I’ve learned, but it’s the speed that gets me.
Your tenacity and perseverance are inspiring (which is just what I need right now as I dig myself out of a 972 review backlog).

Did you practice reading on the side?
Once I hit the half way point, I started reading. It took a little bit to build up the vocabulary and motivate myself to learn some grammar. But I’m pretty confident in my reading skills now!

Yes, but it took about until level 30ish and some grammar before I became confident enough to read.
